Farm Drones UK take centre stage in sustainable farming innovation

On 12 of September, Farm Drones UK had the opportunity to attend the Biomass Connect event, hosted by the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology.

The event is part of the wider Biomass Connect project, which focuses on increasing awareness and adoption of biomass production and its potential to support sustainable agriculture in the UK. The event brought together industry professionals, including farmers, agronomists, and researchers, to explore cutting-edge solutions for biomass and sustainable farming.

During the event, the Farm Drones UK team demonstrated our drone's spraying abilities and showcased how agricultural drones are set to transform the future of farming. We engaged with farmers and agronomists, introducing them to the efficiency and versatility of drones for seeding various cover crops, including in areas where traditional equipment, such as tractors, cannot reach—like steep hillsides and remote fields. We also highlighted the drones' applications in specialised tasks, such as seeding golf courses and managing hard-to-reach landscapes. Our specialised drone can also protect your crops by shading greenhouses with whitewash, and subsequently washing it off when the time comes.

Attendees were enthusiastic and asked insightful questions about the new technology. We discussed how drones can reduce labour and carbon footprint, access the wet field when machinery cannot enter, seed fields with hills areas, and improve precision in farming operations, allowing for more targeted crop management and contributing to more sustainable agricultural practices.

At Farm Drones UK, we are proud to offer innovative solutions that support the future of agriculture. For more information about our drone services and how they can enhance your farming operations, contact us.
